Something strange had to happen, and only time will tell if the Dallas Mavericks made one of the biggest mistakes in NBA history or if they were brave and anticipated the future. The organization has leaked news related to Luka Doncic, regarding his work discipline and lack of professionalism.

There is a lot to explain, especially after seeing Luka Doncic scoring a triple-double in his first game against the Dallas Mavericks. The controversy surrounding the Slovenian's trade due to a unilateral decision by Nico Harrison is massive and continues to escalate. To try to mitigate some of the media pressure, the Texas franchise is dedicated to leaking news, such as those reported in TheAthletic, which try to explain the reasons that led them to part ways with Luka, their present and future star.

To that end, they have decided to launch a smear campaign aimed at tarnishing the player's image. In a blanket attack against the Slovenian, they warn that everyone who witnessed the player's last months on the team describes him as lazy and unprofessional, as well as lacking interest in maintaining an optimal weight for sports practice. They believe that with his work ethic and the injuries he has already had, his career will be a disaster in the next five years.
