Michael Porter Jr and Cam Thomas have shared a locker room at the Brooklyn Nets for months, and the former has not held back when asked how it is possible that a scorer like Thomas is without a team. 

"There is much more to staying in the NBA than just [scoring]. For Cam, I think it was a mix of being frustrated with many things and his personality as well... He doesn't really socialize... He might say like two words all day, throughout the whole practice. He doesn't really talk to anyone. I don't think he does it in a way of trying to be a bad teammate. I just think that's how he is. But when it comes to a team that is willing to pay you and make you the first option, it comes with much more [responsibility]. I don't know if he was willing to step out of his personality and be talkative and try to be a leader and try to bring the guys together. I think that's a bit of what happened here in Brooklyn."

Luka Doncic continues working to return after his grade 2 left hamstring strain, an injury suffered on April 2nd, whose recovery has extended to about eight weeks, and although he has started running, he is not yet cleared for contact, after a treatment in Spain with platelet-rich plasma injections that kept him out of the team for longer.

There is much talk of the NBA landing in Europe for the organization of a competition similar to the traditional one, but with European franchises. However, there is a difficult obstacle to overcome, as investors want every NBA star to be able to sign with one of the new European franchises, something that the commissioner rejects. This could delay the negotiations.

After another disappointing season, Chicago Bulls needs to come out of the slump once and for all. To do so, they know they have to have a great summer to bolster their roster. In the NBA market, they have started with the signing of  Bryson Graham, senior vice president of the Atlanta Hawks, as their new executive vice president of basketball operations, announced by the franchise itself this Monday.

Orlando Magic lost Game 7 of the first round of the 2026 NBA Playoffs against the Detroit Pistons. Despite the tough elimination, the franchise's President, Jeff Weltman, has not wanted to overreact regarding changes to the roster. This is what he said after the defeat:

"It was a tough blow. That will define our summer. We know that a large part of our season will be seen through that perspective. What happened? I could point out many things. I think what happened was that we were up 3-1 against the best team in the East and then Franz got injured. That changed the course of the series. When we were healthy, we were one of the top five defensive teams and one of the top ten offensive teams. ... I think we saw some of what we expected to see [against Detroit]. So I don't want to dismantle this based on how it ended and, above all, based on the first half."

The Brooklyn Nets have decided to waive Cam Thomas, allowing the scoring guard to enter free agency, as sources informed ESPN, in a decision made by the franchise to help the player find a new destination in the league.

The Charlotte Hornets have agreed to trade Tyus Jones to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Malaki Branham, as sources informed ESPN, in a move reflecting Dallas's interest in the guard during the season and allowing Charlotte to generate a seven-million-dollar trade exception.
