Toronto Raptors burst onto the scene with great force in the bidding for Kevin Durant

There has been talk for weeks about the future of Kevin Durant, with it being clear that he is far from the Phoenix Suns. His link to the Rockets has been very strong in all NBA rumors, with the Mavs and the Heat as alternatives, but now the option of Toronto Raptors emerges strongly as the team to sign him.

One of the biggest dramas of this summer in the NBA will be figuring out Kevin Durant's next destination. Even before the regular season ended, there have been reports linking the player to other teams, with the Rockets always the frontrunners. However, in the past hours, the news has surfaced that Toronto Raptors is willing to make significant efforts to recruit KD and offer him an interesting competitive project.

The availability of various Draft picks and having young talents that can generate interest in the Suns, such as Quickley, Barrett, or Boucher, would pave the way to make a trade that other teams would find much more challenging. What Kawhi experienced in Canada may help convince a Kevin Durant who wants to compete for the ring on a team that doesn't have to weaken too much to secure his signing.
