NBA Rumors: The 2 superstars Milwaukee Bucks want to accompany Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis Antetokounmpo has made it clear once again that his intention is to stay in Milwaukee. The power forward reiterated this week that he "would never request a trade," a message that has prompted the Bucks to go into urgent mode to surround their big star with the necessary pieces and try to revitalize the season.

According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Wisconsin franchise has its sights set on two of the most talked-about names in the market: Ja Morant and Zach LaVine. Both are publicly rumored candidates to switch teams, and their respective franchises are willing to listen.

"Various league sources have told USA TODAY Sports Network that the Bucks are interested in the troubled guard Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies," writes Jim Owczarski. He adds: "Sources have also informed the Journal Sentinel that Milwaukee continues to show interest in shooting guard Zach LaVine, currently shooting at 37.6% from three in Sacramento and averaging 20 points per game."

Morant and LaVine are proven scorers and multiple-time All-Stars, although neither has participated in the All-Star Game for several years. Memphis' guard has only played in 77 games over the last two and a half seasons, between suspensions and physical issues, and it was recently revealed that the Grizzlies are open to trading him.

LaVine, on the other hand, is labeled as providing "empty calories": lots of points that don't always translate into wins. Nevertheless, the Bucks have been closely monitoring him for a while, while the Sacramento Kings would be eager to unload his contract.

Relieving Giannis' Burden

The addition of Morant and LaVine could bring around 50 points per night to Milwaukee and relieve a significant portion of the offensive pressure currently on Antetokounmpo. The Greek forward is averaging 29.5 points, 10 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game, although he has already missed 14 games due to injury this season.

With a 17-21 record, the Bucks are just one game away from the 'play-in' spots, a situation far from the initial expectations. To rejoin the real contention this season, the franchise knows it needs a deep roster reconstruction before the market deadline.

Or, as always when discussing Giannis, there is also the possibility that Antetokounmpo himself may change his mind again.
