Windhorst stated that a potential move between both franchises would make sense from the Bucks' perspective. “Of course, it makes sense for Milwaukee. Of course, the Bucks are monitoring this very closely and would be prepared to call Boston,” the insider noted. However, the situation would mainly depend on Jaylen Brown's stance regarding his future with the Celtics.

According to Windhorst, everything revolves around the potential contract extension that Brown will be able to sign with Boston in July. The journalist explained that if the shooting guard is content with the franchise, he could sign a massive renewal worth around $70 million per season. “If he's happy with the Celtics, he will sign,” Windhorst stated. However, another completely different scenario is also possible. “If he's not happy and thinks, ‘I'm not sure I want to stay here,’ then... a trade. All of this will be resolved depending solely on that potential extension.”

Brown is coming off the best season of his career in Boston. For a large part of the season, he took on the role of the team's main offensive threat due to Jayson Tatum's absence for four months. Now, with Tatum back, the question arises whether Brown will prefer to continue sharing the spotlight or seek to lead his own project after performing at such a high level as the primary offensive option.
