The NBA Europe project continues to progress! 12 candidate cities to participate

The NBA continues to make progress on its NBA Europe project. After the owners' meeting in Las Vegas, Adam Silver confirmed that the first franchises could be announced in the coming weeks.

"We are where we expected to be. We have received enormous interest," the commissioner stated.

Silver explained that the league has received multiple offers from the 12 candidate cities, including Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, and London. Furthermore, he reiterated that the priority remains to reach an agreement with the Euroleague, although he made it clear that the NBA will move forward with the project even if it doesn't succeed.
