Draymond Green's reprimand to a Golden State rookie: "It was useless"

Draymond Green reacted with humor to the attempt by Yaxel Lendeborg, a rookie from the Golden State Warriors, to persuade LeBron James to sign with the California franchise.

“I don't know if the speech was too weak or too strong. What I do know is that it was useless,” Green commented on his podcast. The veteran added with laughter that, when the training camp starts, it will be time to “teach the rookie a couple of things.”

Lendeborg had explained during the Summer League that he would like to share a team with LeBron to learn from one of the NBA's great legends and to form a unit alongside Stephen Curry and Green.

Despite the jokes, there seems to be no conflict between them. In fact, Green also praised the rookie's performance during the Summer League, where he left a good impression before his official debut with the Warriors.
