Buy Wilt Chamberlain's t-shirt for $3 and sells it for... 90,000!

What appeared to be a simple Los Angeles Lakers jacket purchased for just three dollars at a thrift store turned out to be a real treasure. American Quinn Brown bought the garment at an Oregon store and after confirming that it had belonged to Wilt Chamberlain during the 1972 NBA Finals, he auctioned it for about 90,000 dollars.

The auction house Sotheby's verified the authenticity of the garment through period photographs and highlighted that it is a historic piece, as finding clothing used by Chamberlain and properly certified is becoming increasingly rare. Brown acknowledged that he was "extremely lucky" after experiencing one of the most surprising discoveries in the world of sports collecting.
