Luka Doncic has a front-row fan ejected after another exhibition

Luka Doncic was once again a protagonist in the NBA, though this time not just for his extraordinary sports performance. The Slovenian player from Los Angeles Lakers requested the intervention of the referees and security personnel to have a fan removed after an incident involving an official during the game against the Sacramento Kings, which ended with an angelic victory of 116-103.

The episode took place in the final moments of the third quarter. Doncic was getting ready to inbound when, suddenly, he began drawing the attention of the referees and security personnel positioned along the baseline. The guard was pointing directly at a man sitting in one of the front row seats near the court.

The reason for his reaction stemmed from a previous action. The spectator had picked up the ball after a play and threw it back with too much force towards one of the referees, who was not prepared to receive it. The ball ended up hitting the official quite hard, something Doncic was very displeased about.

In the footage of the incident, it seems one can hear the Slovenian player addressing the fan with an expression of anger: "What the hell are you doing?". Immediately afterward, he called for the intervention of the officials in charge of the game.

The referees briefly stopped the game and approached the spectator along with security personnel. Ultimately, the man was escorted out of the arena. It was not disclosed whether he responded to Doncic or if there was any further verbal exchange between the two.

Doncic returns to 40 points and the Lakers continue winning

Aside from the incident, the game showcased another offensive exhibition from Luka Doncic. The Slovenian finished with 40 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists, shooting 11 of 23 from the field, leading the Lakers to their seventh victory in the first nine games of the 2026-27 season.

Doncic is going through an extraordinary moment in front of the basket and has already scored at least 40 points in five of his last six games. This streak includes his spectacular performance of 52 points at the end of last month.

The Los Angeles team went into halftime with a seven-point lead and began to pull away in the second half, extending the lead to the final 13 points. Austin Reaves contributed another 21 points, while Walker Kessler finished with 15 points and eight rebounds.

For Sacramento, Darius Acuff was the highest scorer with 22 points and 12 assists. Zach LaVine added 21 points, and Domantas Sabonis achieved a double-double with 16 points and 17 rebounds.

The defeat left the Kings with a concerning record of 1-7 and they continue to search for their first win at home, where they have accumulated three losses.

Meanwhile, the Lakers will play again on Friday against the Portland Trail Blazers, with Doncic becoming one of the main figures of this season's start, both for his numbers and for his influence on the court.
