They have been irrelevant in the NBA for too long, their recent sports projects have almost perished before taking off, they have no way of building anything serious since Cooper Flagg fits their culture and social situation in the state like a glove. All of this leads Utah Jazz to set in motion all possible mechanisms to vie for the Duke player.

It's been a while since a white American player has generated as much excitement as Cooper Flagg is doing. Faced with such a promising prospect, a franchise like Utah Jazz, a faithful representative of Caucasians in the United States and all the culture prevalent in Salt Lake City and the entire state, had to fight to secure his services. He will be the 1st pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, there's no doubt about that, and all the teams want the highest possible chances in the lottery.

Utah Jazz has already announced that Markkanen and Collins will not play any more games for the remainder of the season, sending a clear message to players, coaching staff, and fans about the need to lose games to ensure being one of the three worst teams in the entire NBA. This will give them the best possible odds to be awarded the 1st pick and, therefore, choose Cooper Flagg who would be the cornerstone player around whom to build a winning franchise in the coming years.

The Jazz announced Lauri Markkanen and John Collins are out for the remainder of the season due to injuries.
