Meeting between Adam Silver and Real Madrid to talk about a new league!
The NBA commissioner met with several officials from the 'white' team last Thursday in Paris
In the context of the potential collaboration between the NBA and European teams to create a new competition in the old continent, Adam Silver traveled to Paris last Thursday. There, the NBA commissioner met with various leaders of Real Madrid.
Florentino Pérez's team is the most interested in pushing the project forward. Additionally, it holds the most power. According to Joe Vardon of The Athletic, if Madrid were to join a new league with the NBA, European sources anticipate that other elite clubs will follow suit.
The meeting also included representatives from Galatasaray. The key is for all teams to decide to leave the EuroLeague to join the new competition led by the NBA.
For now, it is said that the four key teams to consider as possible defectors are Real Madrid, F.C. Barcelona, ASVEL Basket, and Fenerbahçe.
