Draymond Green anticipates the key match-up in the Lakers-Wolves game: LeBron James vs Julius Randle
The strength of the all-time leading scorer against the defensive indifference of the former Knicks player
Draymond Green has focused on a specific matchup heading into the playoff series between Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves: LeBron James against Julius Randle. For the Golden State Warriors player, this will be one of the keys to the series, especially due to the current playing style of the veteran forward.
"The matchup that interests me is LeBron James versus Julius Randle," Green stated. "The way LeBron plays today is not the same as he used to with his former Lakers team. Now he's going to involve Julius a lot in different situations."
Green also recalled the doubts that arose at the beginning of the season regarding Randle's defensive ability, particularly in the Timberwolves' system, where there were questions about whether he could measure up in that aspect of the game. "I think he improved defensively over time," he said, "but now LeBron is going to try to expose him on that side of the court."
With LeBron's experience and tactical vision, and Randle's physique as a possible weak point, this matchup promises to be one of the most interesting tactical focuses of the encounter.
