Shams Charania confirms the agreement between the Thunder and their player, the reigning NBA champions
After a dream year with the Oklahoma City Thunder, winning his first NBA championship ring, duties are also being taken care of in the offseason. The OKC franchise has renewed Chet Holmgren, securing his contract for another 5 years.
This summer, Holmgren was already eligible to negotiate his maximum rookie contract extension with the Thunder. As confirmed by Shams Charania, the player has signed for 5 seasons and a total of $250 million.
This amounts to an average of $50 million per season for Chet Holmgren, who has been instrumental in OKC's ring achievement.
A few days ago, the team also finalized a maximum extension for their star, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who won both the Season MVP and the Finals MVP.
