Por fin Kyrie Irving ha roto su silencio, y lo ha hecho después de que finalmente se completara de forma oficial su traspaso a los Boston Celtics a cambio de Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic, la primera ronda del Draft de 2018 de los Nets y la segunda de los Bulls de 2020.

A través de su cuenta personal de Instagram, el nuevo base de los Celtics ha agradecido a la afición de Cleveland su amor durante los seis años que ha permanecido en la ciudad, en los que ha sido en cuatro ocasiones All-Star. El jugador de 25 años se va tras completar la mejor temporada de su carrera, en la que promedió 25,2 puntos y 5,8 asistencias por partido.
