The Knicks win convincingly and consolidate their position in third place in the East

The New York Knicks defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 130-119 in a game that confirmed their strength in the top tier of the East, supported by dominance in the paint and the performance of their key offensive players.

OG Anunoby led the victory with 25 points and 13 rebounds, excelling on both ends of the court, while Karl-Anthony Towns once again delivered an all-around performance with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists, marking his fourth triple-double of the season. Joining them was Mikal Bridges, who contributed 24 points to end the New York team's three-game losing streak.

The game was heavily in favor of the Knicks from the start. The Knicks started with a high shooting accuracy, missing only two of their first 15 attempts. This efficiency translated into a clear lead in the first quarter, dominating in the paint (22 points) and on the boards (11-2). The trend continued before the break, shooting 71% from the field and hitting 7 of 10 three-pointers, allowing them to reach 79 points by halftime, their best score in a first half this season.

Grizzlies Stay Focused

The Grizzlies reacted after the halftime break, reducing the lead to 90-87 in the third quarter, but New York's response was immediate. A new offensive surge enabled them to end that period leading 99-90 and maintain control in the final stretch without major setbacks.

In the Memphis squad, GG Jackson led the scoring with 20 points, followed by Olivier-Maxence Prosper with 17 and Cedric Coward with 15. However, the team struggled with their physical inferiority, especially on the boards, where they were clearly outmatched (49-20), marking their worst rebounding record in history.

In addition to on-court issues, the Tennessee franchise continues to be affected by absences. Prior to the game, the arrest of Brandon Clarke in Arkansas on drug and reckless driving charges was revealed, adding to the already challenging situation after missing a significant part of the season due to injury.
